Where the rest is heaven only knows
Last night I had an almost overwhelming urge to unleash my inner Domestic Goddess and cook up a frenzy. Or something.
Omens were auspicious - I managed to find everything I wanted at Whole Foods for once and without having to hock one of my internal organs in order to pay for the ludicrously overpriced crap positioned solely to assuage the burgeoning guilt of SUV driving Baby Boomers and nü-yuppies by perpetuating the myth that one can simply buy and deny one's way to Environmental conciousness.
First off I made a sort of layered courgette (zucchini) and tomato thing
which I baked until the courgettes were slightly caramelised and the tomatoes were unctuous. I don't use the term 'redolent' often but it's the perfect word to describe the smell of the garlic.
The layering on top kind of got messed up when I touched the side of oven taking it out and began questioning the parentage, nature of familial relationships and general sexual proclivities and prowess of said oven. It's going to sit marinating in the fridge until the weekend.
