90s Music Monday

Was the video released with the single or later? I can't imagine Mo Wax circa '95 having that much money to play around with (or did they licence it from another label?)

From the "not many people know that" files, there was cinematic involvement with the film well before The Matrix. Clubbed to Death was a French (art?) film that came out in 1998 (in the UK), but it was filmed in 1996. It's very thin on plot but heavy on style, and it (over?)uses the Dougan tune throughout. I'd say it was worth looking for, but it has been ten years since I've seen it.
The video was done in either 2002 for the release of Furious Angels I think - it's possible it was done for the (Grammy nominated for best packaging no less) 2004 Limited Edition Box Set release except that iFilm has a version of the video it says was uploaded in 2003. Ah, yes, robdougan.org says "directed by David Slade in January 2002 in South Africa"

I'd heard of the film but not seen it. For some reason it's also confused in my brain with The Blackout - probably because they've both got Beatrice Dalle in.

I noticed you made a refference to my mix (the Abyssal Mix) I have been having trouble finding a good filehosting site, but i will be posting it on newgrounds today, so with any luck, it will be available for free download.
[this is good]
Wow, that's very, very cool. Thank you.
